We don’t turn any animal away. No matter what the breed, condition, age or reason for animals being brought to the SPCA, we’re here for them, day and night. We’re on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to respond to rescues and emergencies involving animals.

Animal Clinic
Our particular SPCA does not have an onsite vet. We can only provide primary healthcare such as: the, treatment of small wounds that don't require stitches, dipping for ticks and fleas etc. If your pet has a SERIOUS illness they will need to be taken to a vet for treatment. We are not longer allowed to innoculate the public's pets, we can only innoculate cats and dogs available for adoption at our own SPCA.


Inspectorate & Humane Education
The mission of the SPCA is to prevent cruelty and the abuse of animals, educate the public about animal welfare, and promote awareness of problems of animal cruelty. We do outreach and both pro-active and reactive work.


Sterilizations
We don't have our own vet so we dont do our own sterilizations. We are unable to assist with reduced sterilization rates at this time.


Adoption & Strays
Every year, there are thousands of animals that are abused, abandoned or left homeless. With your help we are able to find them the loving homes that they so desperately need. If you're looking for a new pet, please visit the SPCA rather than a pet shop or breeder. Not only will you save a life – when you adopt a pet from the SPCA you know you are getting a healthy animal. Every dog and cat offered for adoption has been thoroughly examined at our clinic, de-wormed and innoculated. We also have a strict sterilisation policy that ensures pets are only re-homed after being spayed or neutered.

Boarding Kennels
Due to our current situation with NMBM we unfortunately no longer have boarding kennels and are unable to offer boarding facilities.

Lost & Found
If you find a lost dog or cat – please bring it to the SPCA, or keep it safely in your home or yard and call us to come and collect it. We will try to trace the owner. You can assist by asking round the neighbourhood in which the animal was found to see if anyone is missing their pet. The SPCA shelters stray animasl for 7 days before they become available for adoption. A “lost and found” registry is kept and owners hopefully claim their pets within this period. A joyful reunion is one of the highlights of our day!
