Animal Clinic

Our particular SPCA does not have an onsite vet or an operational clinic. We can only act in an advisory capacity and are not authorized to diagnose or treat your pets. If your pet has an illness or injury they will need to be taken to an outside vet for treatment. We are unfortunately not able to inoculate the public's pets, we may only inoculate cats and dogs available for adoption at our own SPCA.

Inspectorate & Humane Education

We strive to encourage and assist kindness, consideration, compassion and the humane treatment of all animals. Our success is dependent on public awareness and fundraising programs and donations to encourage investment in and support of the SPCA mission and objectives, some of which are community outreach programs, prosecuting perpetrators of animal cruelty and youth education.

Sterilisations

We don't have our own vet so we are unable to do our own sterilizations. We are only able to assist with reduced sterilization rates when funds become available through NLC Funding or Corporate Sponsorships. Currently these funds are unfortunately not available.

Adoptions & Strays

Every year, there are thousands of animals that are abused, abandoned or left homeless. With your help we are able to find them the loving homes that they so desperately need. If you're looking for a new pet, please visit the SPCA rather than a pet shop or breeder. Not only will you save a life – when you adopt a pet from the SPCA you know you are getting a healthy animal. Every dog and cat offered for adoption has been thoroughly examined at our clinic, de-wormed and inoculated. We also have a strict sterilisation policy that ensures pets are only re-homed after being spayed or neutered.

Boarding Kennels

Due to our current situation with NMBM we unfortunately no longer have boarding kennels and are unable to offer boarding facilities.

Lost & Found

If you find a lost dog or cat – please bring it to the SPCA. We shall try to trace the owner. You can assist by asking around the neighbourhood in which the animal was found to see if anyone is missing their pet. The SPCA shelters stray animals for 7 days before we will assess them for adoption. If your pet has gone missing, please contact the SPCA.
